To ensure you experience the highlights of Tofino, our Supervisor Teagan and her team have curated a handpicked itinerary just for you.

The end of summer brings the promise of brisk, cozy nights, the patter of rain on the roof, and a comforting cup of tea to accompany a good book. Fall in Tofino is just as lovely as it sounds. If you're looking for a getaway, now is the time to save—our "Become a Friend, Feel Like Family" special offers 30% off your nightly rate for a 5-night stay or more.

Personally, I love this time of year in Tofino. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience everything the Pacific Northwest is known for: grey mists swathing the trees, cold winds, and the satisfying warmth after a day spent wandering the wet shores of the Pacific. Here’s what I would do if I were staying in Tofino for 5 nights, taking full advantage of our "Become a Friend, Feel Like Family" special.

Day 1 - Downtown Tofino

Day 2 - Pacific Rim National Park

  • Start your day with brunch at the new restaurant in town, Ombre!
  • Stop by the Tofino Visitor Centre to get your day pass for the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and gather information about the area.
  • Explore Long Beach, with its old-growth forests and remarkable Incinerator Rock.
  • Bring a picnic to Combers Beach.
  • Don’t miss the sunset at Radar Hill on your way back!
  • Enjoy poutine, salmon tacos and burgers next door at the Surfside Grill.
  • Warm up by relaxing in our cedar sauna and hot tub at the Surf Club.

Day 3 - Pamper and Discover

  • Start your day with brunch in The Great Room and try our signature dish, the Beet Rancheros.
  • Your day pass for the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is valid until 4 p.m. the next day, so let’s explore the Rainforest Trails A and B, featuring towering western red cedars and western hemlocks!
  • Return for Happy Hour in The Great Room and enjoy a cocktail while watching the waves roll into Cox Bay.
  • Treat yourself to a well-deserved massage, facial, or body treatment at our Rainforest Spa.
  • End the day with a dinner featuring modern Korean cuisine at JEJU.

Day 4 - Adventure on Tofino's Waters

  • Start your day early with a hot springs tour with Jamie’s Whaling Station. This all-day adventure covers it all—from stunning landscapes and lush rainforests to encounters with local wildlife! Don’t forget to pack a lunch.
  • Afterward, embrace the chill with a refreshing cold plunge at Cox Bay, then cozy up in your bathrobe for the walk back to our cedar sauna and hot tub—there’s no better way to feel both invigorated and relaxed!
  • End your day with a delicious dinner at Wolf in the Fog.

Day 5 - Surf, Sip, and Say Goodbye

  • Kick off your day with a private surf lesson from one of our experienced instructors at the Surf Club—time to shred some waves!
  • After your surf session, relax in the hot tub and grab a snack at the Surf Club to refuel.
  • Take a peaceful stroll along North and South Chesterman Beach.
  • Don’t miss happy hour at Tofino Brewing Co. for a refreshing local brew.
  • Cap off your trip with dinner in the Great Room, watching the sunset as you wind down. Before you go, be sure to stop by the front desk to book your next visit!

"We had a loving, relaxing, memorable time at your lodge."

We have both had a rough couple of years. My wife passed away a little over a year ago and my friend of about eight years lost her husband two years ago. She lives in Alberta and has only been out to the island a couple of times. We came to your lodge and reconnected with each other. We have a loving relationship and hope to stay with you again in 2025. Thanks for the wonderful time and we look forward to staying with you again. Pete and Linda.
"One of the best “experience” hotels we’ve stayed in"
2024-10-29
We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 14 day road-trip from Ireland and all I can say is that it was absolutely amazing. The staff were all so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We stayed in room 313 which was on the top floor overlooking the beach with a balcony. Truth be told, the hotel was so good we didn’t venture far over the 3 days, instead opting to just “relax” at the hotel walking the beach or sitting outside at the gas fires taking in the ambience and the surfers catching the waves. The food and service in the restaurant was amazing, I would even go so far to say it was the best food we’ve had in a long time at a hotel! If having food at the hotel, make sure you book a table at the restaurant before 6pm and maybe even arrive a little early. They will not reserve the window seats, but to get the best view of the sunset over the pacific - trust me, it’s where you want to be sitting. Cocktails were also very good. If getting a snack during the day you can get it at the Surf Club which is a few steps from the main building. After dinner we just retired to the bedroom with the gas fires going, patio doors open and enjoying a bottle of wine while listening to the waves crash on the beach. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel any of the mornings as we wanted something “light” opting instead for the delights from the cafe & bakery Tofitian just a few minutes up the road. As an “experience”, it was hands down one of the best hotels I’ve visited in Canada/US. The team should be very proud.
